The Shenyang Central Meteorological Observatory released information on the morning of the 27th: Tropical Storm Mirei, the fifth tropical storm this year, weakened into a tropical depression on the northern Yellow Sea at 5:00 on the 27th. Its impact on China is ending and it will land on the western coast of North Korea.
At 5:00 on the 27th, the center of Typhoon Mirei was located 200 kilometers south of Dandong (38.4 degrees north latitude, 124.0 degrees east longitude), about 80 kilometers away from the west coast of North Korea. The maximum wind force near the center was level 7 (16 meters/second), and the minimum air pressure at the center was 990 hectopascals. "Mire" is expected to move north-eastward at a speed of 30 kilometers per hour and is about to land on the western coast of North Korea. Its intensity will continue to weaken.
According to the latest meteorological data analysis, due to the influence of "Mi Lei", it is expected that heavy rain will turn to light rain in Dandong during the day on the 27th, and light rain will occur in other areas. The northeasterly winds and gusts along the southeast coast of Dalian and Danda were level 6 and level 7, respectively. On the night of the 27th, precipitation in various places stopped and the wind slowly weakened, indicating that the impact of "Miray" on China was ending.
The Weihai Meteorological Observatory released news at 6:00 on the 27th that "Mirei" had weakened into a tropical depression at 5:00 on the 27th, but the winds along the coast of Weihai were still strong. The Weihai Meteorological Observatory has lifted the typhoon yellow warning signal issued for two consecutive days, but continues to issue the typhoon blue warning signal; at the same time, the precipitation has basically ended, and the heavy rain yellow warning signal has been lifted.
