He is the son of Bo Yibo, one of the elders of the Chinese Communist Party. His current wife is lawyer Gu Kailai. Gu Kailai's father, Major General Gu Jingsheng, was one of the initiators of the "December 9th Movement" and served as political commissar of the Xinjiang Military Region. Bo Xilai and Gu Kailai have a son, Bo Guagua, who studied at Harrow School, a British aristocratic boarding school, and graduated from Oxford University in the United Kingdom with a major in political philosophy. He is currently studying at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government in the United States.
Zhang Dejiang, currently a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, is in charge of important economic fields such as industry, telecommunications, energy, and transportation. He is also the director of the Work Safety Committee of the State Council. He has served as secretary of the provincial party committee in three important provinces: Jilin, Zhejiang, and Guangdong.
