Followed closely by Yang Huiyan of Country Garden and Chen Lihua of Fu Wah International Group, they temporarily ranked second and third with 27.72 billion yuan and 17.64 billion yuan respectively. Interestingly, they also formed a "head-to-tail echo". The 31-year-old Yang Huiyan was the youngest female billionaire among the 2012 Forbes China 400 richest people, while Chen Lihua became the oldest woman on the list at the age of 71.

She is more focused on future strategies and Country Garden brand work within the company, and has not interfered too much in the current internal affairs of Country Garden. Country Garden employees described Yang Huiyan as "dignified in appearance and good temperament." Yang Guoqiang emphasized that Yang Huiyan has a good heart, which is why he is willing to leave his huge wealth to her.
>Chen Laiwa
Chen Lihua was once the richest woman in China on the Forbes rich list. She was born in poverty. After dropping out of high school, she started a furniture repair business and opened a furniture factory. After moving to Hong Kong in 1982, she engaged in international trade and real estate investment, and accumulated considerable capital. In the late 1980s, she returned to the mainland to invest in real estate. Although Chen Laiwa has handed over the Fu Wah International Group to her son Zhao Yong to take care of it, and she focuses on collecting rosewood, due to the demolition of celebrities' former residences when developing Jinbao Street, Chen Laiwa always falls into controversy every time she is exposed in the media.
>Pan Wei
Chen Jinxia
In the list, the biggest decliners are Pan Wei of Ajisen (China) and Qiu Xiangjuan of Zhejiang Hengyi Group, which dropped from 197 and 214 last year to 365 and 393 this year respectively. The fastest riser is Chen Jinxia from Yongjin Group, rising from 129th last year to 87th this year.
>Zhou Xiaoguang of Shin Kong Holdings Group
In addition, three new faces appeared on the list, namely Zhou Xiaoguang of Shin Kong Holdings Group (4.16 billion yuan, 234th place), Fan Zhaoxia of Beijing Express (3.75 billion yuan, 282nd place) and Zhu Chongyun of Shenzhen Masfil Fashion (3.21 billion yuan, 349th place).
