According to Dagong.com, there are recent rumors that Liu Zhijun, the former Minister of Railways of China, and Gu Junshan, the former Deputy Minister of the General Logistics Department, will both be sentenced to death.

Due to the arrest of Liu Zhijun, the corruption scandal of the Ministry of Railways was revealed. When Liu Zhijun was the Minister of Railways, he used the railway construction fund worth several trillion yuan as his own treasury, and used railway projects related to the national economy and people's livelihood as a bridge to curry favor with the powerful and get promoted. He also colluded with some profiteers, both internal and external, to siphon off billions of yuan of people's wealth, turning some railway projects into rubbish.

As for Gu Junshan, he once controlled the land and infrastructure construction of the entire army and made huge profits in the process of expropriation and replacement of military land. He built a luxurious general's mansion in Beijing, and kept tens of thousands of bottles of Maotai liquor in his home.

When Xi Jinping came to power, he jointly directed an anti-corruption storm with Wang Qishan, Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and anti-corruption in the military was his top priority.
