"Police-Citizen Express Shanghai" Weibo content revealed: Today, the Shanghai police requested the Shanghai Huangpu District People's Procuratorate to arrest Lin, a suspect in the "4.1" case at Fudan University, on suspicion of intentional homicide.
On April 11, the Cultural Security Bureau of the Municipal Public Security Bureau received a report from the Security Office of Fudan University: Huang, a 2010 graduate student at the Fenglin Campus of the school, had consumed water from the water dispenser in the dormitory since April 1. He was feeling unwell and showing signs of poisoning, and was being treated in the hospital.
After receiving the report, the Shanghai police immediately organized a task force to conduct an investigation. After on-site inspection and investigation visits, they identified Huang's dormitory classmate Lin as suspected of committing a major crime. Suspicious, Lin was criminally summoned in accordance with the law that night.
After preliminary investigation by the police, Lin was dissatisfied with Huang due to trivial matters in his life. At noon on March 31, the highly toxic compounds left over from the experiment and stored in the laboratory were brought to the dormitory and poured into the water dispenser sink. On the morning of April 1, Huang developed symptoms of poisoning after drinking the water from the water dispenser. He later died in the afternoon of April 16 after the hospital's rescue efforts failed.
