Millions of people are buying a home every year. If you are like most Americans, then owning a home of your own must be your dream.
Before taking the first step to buy a house, you must first know what price of a house you can afford. The easiest way is to find a lending institution and obtain your own loan qualifications in advance. Most banks or loan brokers will be happy to tell you the loan amount they can help you obtain.
If you can obtain proof that the bank is willing to approve the loan (Pre-qualified or Pre-approved), it will be of great help to your smooth purchase of a house. The difference between Pre-qualified and Pre-approved is that: the former is just a rough assessment by the lending bank of your basic personal information such as income, assets, and liabilities to let you know how much money you can borrow; the latter is when you formally apply for a loan, and the bank further relies on the documentary evidence you provide, such as tax returns, salary slips, bank statements, etc., and checks your financial background to let you know the maximum amount of money the bank is willing to lend you. If you can get a Pre-approved certificate from the bank, it is certainly better than Pre-qualified.
After understanding your purchasing power, you can confidently find your dream house. Choose according to your family's needs such as: Area, how many rooms are needed, how many square feet are needed, etc., it is very important to choose an area with convenient living functions within the budget, because houses in good areas have higher value-added and better resistance to falling. Usually the most common mistake first-time home buyers make is to choose a large and beautiful house and ignore the importance of location.
It is recommended that you choose a real estate agent with friendly service, honesty and responsibility to help you find your ideal house. Real estate agents usually have more resources. Some houses for sale are ignored because they are not well advertised. Real estate agents can help you conduct a comprehensive search.
