Jinxin Real Estate News: Survey shows that buying a house is more cost-effective than renting According to a national survey conducted by Fannie Mae, 33% of Americans predict that home prices will continue to rise in the next 12 months. The highest level will be higher than last year's increase. Many people say that now is a good time to buy a house, even though 73% of house prices are rising, with the fastest increase reaching 14% in March. At the same time, more and more Americans expect rental prices to rise next year, possibly by 4.1%. "The combination of these factors will encourage people to buy homes," said Doug Duncan, chief economist at Fannie Mae. He also said, "Americans' expectations for rent prices continue to rise next year, reaching a record high this month, according to our survey. Consumer loan rates and home prices are likely to rise over the next 12 months, making renting a home more expensive and buying a home more valuable."
