Phoenix's median home price continues to rise. An ASU research report shows that home prices in the Phoenix metropolitan area increased by 34% in October compared with last year. The median home price in October of this year was $157,000, compared with $116,000 in October 2011, the report said. The report from the ASU College of Business says the supply of homes and apartments in metro Phoenix has grown 31% in the past three months. The 10 cities/towns with the fastest home price growth in the state are: Arizona City: 43%, El Mirage: 40%, Casa Grande: 39%, Youngtwon: 39%, Maricopa: 38%, San Tan Valley: 38%, Phoenix: 36%, Tolleson: 36%, Wittman: 35%, Coolidge: 33%. A few cities to watch include: Glendale: 38%, Mesa: 21%, Tempe: 20%, Chandler: 18%, and Scottsdale: 14%.
