Friends who hope to buy a house in north-central Phoenix, please note that the large motorcycle sales center north of Seventh Street and Missouri Road will be transformed into a catering purchasing center. The motorcycle sales center closed three years ago and will be revamped by shopping and dining center developer Sam Fox and Wasco for $8 million. There will be at least five restaurants here. Fox said there will be seafood restaurants as well as very popular bars. There will be 2,000 square feet of space between restaurants, where some cafes will be given priority. Community dining centers are still a relatively new concept in downtown Phoenix. A previous similar project was built at 40th Street and Campbell Avenue. A resort called Spinato is planned across the street. The basic facilities here will be improved due to the renovation of the restaurant shopping mall. Developer Fox, based in Phoenix, already has more than 30 restaurants in Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas and Kansas. The central Phoenix dining center could be ready as soon as February or March of this year.
