In recent years, Chinese home buyers have become increasingly enthusiastic about investing overseas. On October 3, 2013, the reporter visited the real estate markets in many places in California, USA, and followed the itineraries of many home viewing groups from China.

A broker from DeLeonRealty in Balo Alto City said: "Overseas investors have raised competition to a new level. Some come to the Bay Area to study and then stay. Some are upstarts who come with tourist or investment visas. There are also high-end buyers who come for a weekend and leave after making a promising purchase. Thirty to forty percent of buyers pay all in cash. They buy investment properties and almost everything as soon as they come on the market."
