Less than a week after the Republican leader in Congress announced the principles of immigration reform, he found another excuse to delay legislation. Senior Democratic Senator Schumer from New York State (Charles E. Schumer proposed a new idea on Sunday, calling for legislation to be enacted first and then take effect after Obama steps down. Schumer's suggestion was immediately rejected by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
