Tempe has become a hot spot for real estate development in Phoenix. A high-end community called "SALT" has begun construction on the shores of Lake Tempe. The project includes 256 apartments, two swimming pools with pavilions, yoga lawn, and spa. The entire project will be completed early next year. Developed by a well-known San Diego developer, this 6-block mixed-use residential project also includes one- to three-bedroom apartments. Tempe has become the hottest location for real estate development in the greater Phoenix area. Earlier, we have introduced that the USA Basketball headquarters will be moved to Tempe, and a 330-square-acre area integrating sports, commerce, and residence is under construction - USA Place. The project cost $436 million. The long-unused corner of Mill Road is set to become a city highlight. USA Place is expected to bring in 350,000 visitors annually. Just north of ASU's Sun Devil Stadium, the $600 million Marina Heights project will house 8,000 State Farm employees. The condominiums "SALT" are just one part of the Lakeside mixed-use project, which will also include two townhouse communities on Sixth Street. By then, 24 new homes will be built, and a further 38 homes will be built east of Weber Road and Scottsdale Road.
