Yesterday evening, at the entrance of the Plastic Art Production Center of the Municipal Puppetry Research Institute, under the command of the person in charge of the scene, a group of two-dragon lanterns with beads were slowly loaded onto a container truck.

"The first container is loaded today, and there will be another one tomorrow." Dai Ronghua, director of the Municipal Puppet Research Institute, told reporters that the lanterns produced this time will be packed into more than 10 containers and shipped to the United States via Shanghai.

The reporter learned that next year will be the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States. Arizona, the United States, will hold cultural, economic, trade and tourism activities to celebrate this event. Yangzhou Lanterns was invited to participate in the celebration at Fountain Mountain Park in the state.

After receiving the task from the Plastic Art Production Center of the Municipal Puppet Research Institute, the creative designers started busy in early November and designed 20 sets of Yangzhou traditional lanterns for the lantern festival.

The lanterns are mainly based on folk themes, with diverse themes, taking into account American aesthetic tastes. Yesterday, reporters saw at the production site that there were not only the traditional Chinese gods of happiness, wealth, longevity, and happiness, but also the blond Snow White.

Strong lineup

More than 60 workers have been busy for more than 50 days

It is understood that the height of the lanterns is mostly about 2.2 meters, and the highest lantern group is more than 12 meters, which also brings many difficulties to packaging and transportation. Therefore, some lanterns are designed in blocks during production to facilitate transportation. As for the material of the lanterns, new environmentally friendly and energy-saving materials are used.

Although lantern production is a side job of the Plastic Arts Production Center of the Puppet Research Institute, the center has also achieved good results in lantern production in history. But this lantern trip to the United States is the largest in recent years.
