The Southern Heavenly King who ruled Guangdong for eight years - the legendary Chen Jitang and Yu Yushu (4) Promoting economic education caused turmoil (Part 1) The difference between Chen Jitang and other regional military leaders was that in addition to relying on military power to maintain stability, he also had to dominate the thinking of the military and civilians. Because he knows that force alone is not enough. Without good guidance and encouragement, a soldier's mind will be like a child's sword, which is a very dangerous thing. The CCP army takes Russia as its division, worships Marxism-Leninism, is full of pride, and is not afraid of sacrifice, but this road is blocked. Feng Yuxiang of the Northwest Army is known as the Christian General. I don't know how deep he is about the Bible, but he once ordered the entire division of officers and soldiers to be baptized and converted to Christianity within one day. In fact, ordinary soldiers from rural areas may not even know who Jesus is, so they received baptism, which seems a bit ridiculous. When Chen was 19, he was introduced to Sun Yat-sen's "Tongmenghui" by Deng Keng. Of course, he was a believer in the Three People's Principles. However, what he had in mind was not so much Sun Yat-sen's "unification" (unification of China) as it was closer to the "independence" (independent Guangdong) of his immediate boss Chen Jiongming at the time. There is not much interest in the Northern Expedition to the Central Plains, so naturally it will not be called the slogan of using the Three People's Principles to unify China. After Chen Jitang became the director of appeasement in Guangdong Province, he not only had an army of 150,000, but also had a rain of advisers and fierce generals under his command; the civil servants included Lin Yizhong, Huang Linshu, Shen Yangong, Zhang Shaoqin and his brother Chen Weizhou, Wu The generals included Li Jingyang, Li Hanhun, Yu Hanmou, Xiang Hanping, etc. Among them, Lin Yizhong was the literary bolder, and Li Jingyang was the martial arts bolder. As for the methods he used and the routes he took in literary and political thought, he was different from others. After Chen Jiongming failed in the coup and resigned, Chen Jitang switched to Li Jishen. During the Northern Expedition, Li served as commander of the Fourth Army, and Chen Ze served as commander of the 11th Division under him. Chen Mingshu, the commander of the 10th Allied Division, supported Chiang on the surface, but in his heart he had already had an affair with the leftists. Later, he established China's first "People's Government" during the Fuzhou Uprising. This not only dragged Li Jishen into trouble, but even the 19th Route Army, which was famous both at home and abroad for its anti-Japanese campaign in the Songhu Battle, was ordered to be disbanded by Chiang Kai-shek. Some of them were taken over by Chen Jitang and reorganized into the Third Independent Brigade. In fact, before Chen Mingshu took military action, he had already made great efforts in cultural and ideological aspects. When Chen Mingshu was the chairman of Guangdong Province in 1930, he spent a huge sum of 400,000 to acquire the "Shenzhou Guoguang Society", which was mainly composed of left-wing writers. He reused the left-wing scholar Wang Lixi, translated a large number of communist books, and published the works of left-wing writers. Even the later slogans for the Fuzhou Uprising were all written by Wang Lixi and Hu Qiuyuan, who later abandoned "secret" and turned to "ming". Chen Jitang himself was born in a rural school and was quite involved in traditional culture. Many of his intellectual and intellectual teachers were Confucian scholars. He believed that the popularity of Communist Party theory was due to the impact of the New Culture Movement, the overthrow of the Confucian family and the intrusion of Western heresies. Therefore, when advocating the revival of traditional culture, the most urgent task was to start with reading the Bible.
