The Southern Heavenly King who ruled Guangdong for eight years - the legendary Chen Jitang Yu Yushu (4) Promoting economic education caused trouble (middle) At the suggestion of the Literary Think Tank, Chen Jitang chose "The Classic of Filial Piety" as the first book to revive China's inherent culture. Although filial piety is the first thing to do, everyone knows that "The Classic of Filial Piety" is a fake book. The "Four Books" are "The Great Learning", "The Doctrine of the Mean", "Mencius" and "The Analects of Confucius"; the "Five Classics" are the "Poetry", "Book", "Yi", "Li" and "Spring and Autumn" (plus the lost "Yue Jing", the Six Classics are not included in the "Filial Piety Classic". Check out Dr. Hu Shi's "History of Ancient Chinese Philosophy" Chapter 1 "Confucius" Chapter 1 "Biography of Confucius", "There are also many books titled "Confucius", which are actually relied on by later generations. For example, a "Book of Filial Piety"; Calling Confucius Zhongni, calling Zeng Shen Zengzi, and including many poems saying "The Book of Filial Piety" is definitely not done by Confucius. It is also a lie made by the Han people. " However, Chen Jitang and his literary and courageous think tank either had not heard of it or were disdainful of the words of the new scholars. They promoted the academic group "Mingde Society" chaired by his brother Chen Weizhou with the idea of "respecting Confucius, reading scriptures and expounding the quintessence of China". Soon they founded the "Xuehai Academy" and appointed Zhang Junli as the dean. , Zhang Dongsun and others were professors, and their main courses were the Four Books and Five Classics. They not only cultivated civil and military successors for Chen Jitang, but also wanted to further promote the Bible-reading movement to schools at all levels across the province. Bible-reading was very popular in Guangdong, and various versions of the Four Books and Five Classics were expensive in Luoyang. In order to please him, Lu Yunheng, secretary of the "Guangdong Military and Political School" (formerly Whampoa Military Academy), spent a lot of effort compiling a "New Exegesis of the Classic of Filial Piety" to be approved as a designated model for schools at all levels. Although the university's curriculum is determined by the Education Bureau, only an order is required. At that time, the Chairman of Guangdong Province, Lin Yunye, was also the vice-principal of the "Guangdong Military and Political School", so it should have passed smoothly. However, Lin was a veteran in officialdom after all and did not want to take full responsibility for the matter, so he wrote on the official application document: "Forward to the Southwest Political Affairs Committee of the National Government for approval." The so-called "Southwestern Political Affairs Committee" is a power advisory body jointly formed by Guangdong and Guangxi provinces. It has the function of linking the provinces to show their strength. Lu dredged up the members of the Guangxi, Hu and Cantonese factions in the committee. The "New Exegesis of Xiao Jing" was finally passed, and the resolution was transferred to the Guangdong Provincial Government for processing. So the case was handed over to the Guangdong Provincial Committee, and two educators, Xu Chongqing and Jin Zengcheng, who had the false title of Guangdong Provincial Committee, were responsible for the review. In the eyes of Chen Jitang and Lu Yunheng, it was just a routine matter, but the result surprised them. It turns out that Xu Chongqing is not an idle person. He once served as the president of Sun Yat-sen University and the Education Department of Guangdong Province. He is the cousin of Xu Chongzhi, the second commander-in-chief of the Guangdong Army. He studied at Tokyo Imperial University in Japan and later married Liao Liuwei, the niece of the Kuomintang veteran Liao Zhongkai. During the period when Chen Mingshu was in charge of Guangdong, he served as the director of the Department of Civil Affairs and temporarily acted as the chairman of Guangdong Province. He was well-known and prestigious. During the "September 18th" incident, his classmates at Sun Yat-sen University launched the national student anti-Japanese movement. Xu was dismissed by the "Southwestern Political Affairs Committee" for "inadequate control."
