I remember that at a restaurant Christmas party in 1989, I introduced a new friend from the cultural industry to Mr. Huang. At that time, I suggested whether to open a Chinese newspaper in Phoenix. In fact, there were not many Chinese people in Phoenix at that time. Without the backstage support of a consortium or party, it would be like farming in the desert. It would be strange if it did not die. But they really got the license in one month. Soon after, their first Chinese newspaper called Arizona Chinese News was launched in Phoenix, but they opened a few In August, everyone suspended their support due to financial difficulties. Later, one founded the Alberta Times and the other founded the Asian American Newspaper in Chinese and English.
