Easter, April 8, is the day when Christians all over the world celebrate the resurrection of the Lord. In order to celebrate Easter, Phoenix Chinese Christian Church has been preparing an Easter oratorio: "Incomparable Love" since the New Year. On this Sunday, the morning service started at 6:30 in the morning, and the baptism service was held from 7:45 to 8:45. 30 brothers and sisters were baptized in front of the congregation and became children of God. From 9:30 to 10:45 and 11:15 to 12:30, two unique grand celebration services in Chinese and English were held in the lobby. The oratorio, which had been prepared for several months, finally unveiled her mystery and showed her true face to the congregation. As the narrator (English Pastor Guan Guan) narrated, the brothers and sisters in the choir, dressed in contemporary Israeli costumes, changed the stage and sang with the accompaniment of the band. The enchanting performance brought the audience into the era two thousand years ago, when Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem, entered the synagogue and drove the people who were doing business in the synagogue, cleansed the temple; and healed the blind, the paralytic, the leper, and reanimated the dead. Many people were saved and blessed; they also defeated the temptation of the devil in the mines; Jesus Christ was betrayed by Judas after the Last Supper; he was tried before Pilate; and was sentenced to death. At this time, the sound of soldiers hammering nails could be heard, and Jesus Christ was crucified; many congregants were sad and moved to tears, and Jesus Christ was buried in a new tomb; on the third day, which is the first day of the 7th day, Jesus Christ was resurrected early in the morning, etc., and the scenes were vividly presented to the congregation. I was deeply moved and attracted by the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ. When the music and poetry stopped abruptly and the audience burst into thunderous applause, I woke up from the atmosphere of the oratorio. Next came Pastor Yang’s sermon, titled “The Inspiration of the Lord’s Love.” Pastor Yang’s sermons are always very vivid, interlocking, and fascinating, catching people’s hearts, moving them, and touching their souls. Today, it is easier for people to be moved by the incomparable love of Jesus Christ from Pastor Yang’s sermon combined with the previous oratorio. The death of Jesus Christ takes away all our sin debts, and in Jesus Christ we become new creations, filled with resurrection life. The Lord’s resurrection inspires us to live an abundant and beautiful life. The resurrection of Jesus Christ gives us a glorious position: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8) We must be inspired by the incomparable love of Jesus Christ and carry the mission of Jesus Christ to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, so that more people can become children of the Heavenly Father. After Pastor Yang preached, he called the congregation in prayer. About 8 to 9 people raised their hands and decided to believe in Jesus Christ and let Jesus Christ be their savior. We also sincerely invite every friend to experience this incomparable love together! This year's Easter celebration service was particularly well attended, and the parking lot was filled with vehicles attending the party. The co-workers of the church brought the brothers and sisters from the Senior Citizens Association to participate in the Easter service, and also brought many seekers. The church prepared exquisite gifts for the new seekers. In order to prepare for this year's oratorio, the brothers and sisters of the choir have worked hard for several months to prepare for rehearsals. For this Easter oratorio, many co-workers have worked hard on costumes, props, band conductors, accompanists, front and backstage, lighting, photography, etc. They have worked hard and devoted their lives with love and joy. We thank them for presenting this colorful and touching oratorio to the congregation, which demonstrates the glory of God and God's incomparable love!
