The Phoenix City is like a rainbow: Rocky Mountain Travels Part 1: Rocky Mountain Impressions. I have been in the United States for fifteen years. I often travel when I have free time and conditions, but rarely visit countries adjacent to the United States. I once crossed the Mexican city on the Arizona border, but Canada on the other side has never set foot in its territory. I have relatives and friends living in several famous cities there, such as Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. I have no plans to travel because I am afraid of the cold weather. After the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, I went against the norm and took a seven-day trip to the Rocky Mountains with Taizu. This trip is related to the eighth month of the lunar calendar. For my family, August of the lunar calendar is a wonderful month filled with joy. The first ten days of the month are my daughter’s birthday, the middle ten days are Taizu’s birthday, and the last ten days are my couple’s wedding anniversary. On this good day and month, the children feel that instead of having a series of banquets to celebrate, it is more meaningful to travel and browse the world's scenery. While they are still healthy and walking easily, they can travel and have fun, see the paradise of the world; visit relatives and friends, catch up with each other and have fun in it. In a few years, he will be senile, unable to do what he wants, and unable to leave even if he wants to. Taizu thought it was a good idea. When he heard his son Guoxing's proposal to travel to Canada again, he became very interested and finally made the trip to the Rocky Mountains possible. I decided to choose the travel program of the golden holiday: a seven-day tour of the Canadian Rockies, which can be entered and exited in Seattle or Vancouver. I bought a ticket to Seattle and stayed for three days after the trip to visit old classmates and old friends I had not seen for a long time. I originally planned to register for departure on October 7th so that I could attend the birthday party of the Senior Citizens Association before setting off. However, the travel agency informed me that due to the cold weather, many places were frozen and it was impossible to travel. October 3rd was the last day of the trip. In this case, we have no choice but to comply. Otherwise, we will have to wait for May or June next year, and the world will not know how to change. This trip to the Rocky Mountains allowed me to truly see the majestic mountains, their majesty, and the undulating peaks, which are breathtaking! When I was in Vietnam, I visited Hei Po Mountain in Xining, Chau Doc Mountain, Dalat Mountain City, the Sapa Mountains in the north, passed through the Truong Son Mountains connecting North and South Vietnam, and also visited some famous mountains and rivers in Guangdong, Suzhou and Hangzhou in China. At that time, I was amazed and amazed in those places, but compared with the Rocky Mountains, they were nothing compared to the Rocky Mountains. Our tour group departed from Seattle and picked up people from all over the world at the airport in the morning. There were Chinese from Taiwan, mainland China, and various states in the United States, including two Vietnamese couples. The tour guide, Mr. Xie, spoke in English and Mandarin. The driver, Brother Hua, is a Cantonese living in Canada. The tour bus first took us to Seattle's Chinatown for lunch, and then visited the city's attractions. We arrived in Vancouver that night and stayed at the Airport Coast Hotel. The next day, we were joined by a few tourists from Taiwan and an Indian couple, and we began to roam the Rocky Mountains. I saw that the city of Vancouver is surrounded by mountains and has many lakes. Mountains and rivers meet everywhere, which is eye-opening. After wandering around here for sightseeing, it was the fourth day when we really entered the Rocky Mountains and roamed. It was indeed extraordinary and unique. Wow! The Rocky Mountains have undulating peaks, towering into the clouds. The tops are covered with white snow, the mountain walls are solid and rocky, and the cliffs in the area are rugged and abrupt. The situation is strange and majestic. Tourists who like to take pictures are busy non-stop, taking pictures and recording, with the flash lighting flashing, one after another. I think this is like busy work, not enjoyment. I just like to observe and appreciate attentively, and explore the beautiful scenery in front of me. It is said that the Rocky Mountains are located in the western part of North America. The mountains are undulating and extend for nearly 5,000 kilometers. They are generally defined as running from the Riad River in Canada to the Rio Grande River in New Mexico, the United States. The extension to the north and south ends can only be part of the American mountains and no longer belong to the Rocky Mountains. The highest peak in Canada is called Mount Robe. On the fifth day, our tour group arrived at the Columbia Icefield, which is the coldest and highest glacier. We took a giant snowmobile to wind up the ice and snow river more than 2,000 meters high. We were in the realm of thousands of years of glaciers. It was the first time in my life that I tried to set foot on the ice and snow river bed, and was surrounded by ice and snow for the first time. The Rocky Mountains are covered with snow all year round, which melts and flows down to become the water source for rivers and lakes. Therefore, there are many lakes and rivers, forming beautiful scenery of different colors, which is also a tourist destination. The flow of fresh water from melted ice and snow accounts for a large part of the supply in the United States and Canada. There are many rivers originating from the Rocky Mountains, all flowing into three oceans from different directions: the Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. In addition to admiring the majesty of the Rocky Mountains, we walked along the highway along the station wagon and saw nationally protected wildlife parks on both sides. There were barbed wire fences surrounding the roads to prevent wild animals from running out of the streets. There were many bears here, and signs were erected to remind people to pay attention. In order to allow wild animals to communicate with each other, the local government has also built overpasses on sections of the highway and taken good care of them. The wild animals in Canada are truly blessed. It is really ironic to think that some people live in poverty and are suffering from poverty and disease. This seven-day trip to the Rocky Mountains left an unforgettable impression on me and aroused endless emotions!
