Dreams are people’s expectations for a bright future. Recently, Xi Jinping, the newly elected leader of the Communist Party of China, pointed out after visiting the "Road to Rejuvenation" exhibition at the National Museum of China that the dream of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will surely come true! As a result, the Chinese Dream has become a hot topic of discussion, arousing great interest and response from society. I happened to be in Beijing, so I rushed to visit the "Road to Renaissance" despite the strong cold wind. On display here are historical films dating from the Revolution of 1911 to the present day, showing the Chinese people's efforts to overthrow the feudal dynasty, resist foreign invasion, strive for an independent, democratic and free country, and realize China's industrialization and modernization. It also shows the goals proposed by the Communist Party of China in the 18th century: In the first twenty years of the new century, that is, there are still eight years, and about 3,000 days left, China will build a moderately prosperous society in all respects, with per capita income doubling what it is now; in the fiftieth year of the new century, China will build a prosperous, strong, democratic, free, and harmonious socialist country. The goal is very specific, and every Chinese is excited about it. The buzz about the Chinese Dream reminds me of the American Dream. The American Dream originated during the British colonial period in the United States and developed in the 19th century. At that time, young people in Europe called going to the United States to start a new business and achieve success the American Dream. It was a belief that everyone could obtain a better life in the United States through unremitting efforts. For more than two hundred years, the American Dream has been inspiring young people from all over the world to come here to create their own value, and the United States has become the cradle of successful people around the world. In the process of industrialization in the United States, many industrial and commercial giants emerged who started their careers through hard work. Edison, who started his career with the invention of General Electric, Rockefeller, the oil giant who came from a poor family, Ford, who invented the automobile production line, and banker Morgan. In the information age, Apple's father Steve Jobs, Microsoft's Bill Gates, Yahoo's Jerry Yang, etc. emerged. Their success relies on their own intelligence and diligence, not on power and Lao Tzu. For more than two hundred years, many Chinese have also come here to seek their American dream. Some participated in the gold rush dream, some succeeded in becoming scientists, and some realized the dream of politicians and became important members of American politics. Of course, there are also a large number of people who have realized the dream of being well-off, that is, the dream of a house, a car, a warm family, and the dream of the middle class. Some elderly people come to the United States in search of a quiet and stable life, the dream of enjoying a long and healthy life with fresh air and sunshine. People can't help but think about what makes the American dream easy to succeed? I think the important thing is that America has created a good environment for people to dream. Since its founding, the United States has transplanted European progressive ideas and written the ideals of democracy, freedom and equality into the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, making freedom and equality a realistic system and way of life. Equality of opportunity and equal rights are integrated into all areas of American society, and people have full economic and life freedom. There are many great qualitative differences between the Chinese Dream and the American Dream. The American Dream is a personal dream, a dream with individualism as its ideal and goal. Thousands of individual dreams of success have created a strong and wealthy country. The Chinese Dream is the dream of a country, a dream of a powerful country. Chinese people, including us overseas Chinese, have been fighting for this goal for nearly a hundred years. People firmly believe that only when the country is strong can the people be prosperous. Moreover, what China wants to achieve is a modern and powerful socialist country. Socialism advocates the common prosperity of the people, but only allows some people to get rich first in the primary stage. The differences in culture, system and population between the two countries also make the road to realizing the dream have different trajectories. The Chinese dream cannot follow the old path of the American dream, not to mention that the American dream has entered a certain dilemma and is seeking new breakthroughs. The Chinese Dream should learn from the American Dream's ideas of freedom and equality, develop Chinese characteristics, and make good use of the Chinese people's unique patriotic desire to strengthen the country that has lasted for hundreds of years to create a better environment for people to dream. A journey of a hundred miles takes half a mile. The path forward for the Chinese Dream is full of thorns, some of which are deep-rooted. People have high expectations for the new generation of leaders such as Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang. The first step of being closer to the people and simpler, and the ten prohibitions on stricter military management are welcomed by everyone. The direction of reform and anti-corruption is in line with the people's wishes. Your experience makes me believe that you are on the side of the people. I wish the "Chinese Dream" can be realized smoothly, and a Chinese nation without hegemony that can live in harmony with the people of the world will rise again. Dreams have no end. As long as the earth continues to rotate and the end of the world has not yet come, people will continue to weave more beautiful dreams. In the near future, human beings will work together to create a beautiful dream of the universe - "Yifa Interstellar Dream".
