I saw a group of news about Chinese-style looting on TV, which really made me feel uncomfortable. Since the beginning of winter, looting incidents have continued to occur across the land of the motherland. A car transporting apples overturned while passing through Henan. After hearing the news, nearby villagers rushed over and packed their bags home. A car pulling pineapples passed through Guangdong. The pineapples were scattered on the highway. Hundreds of villagers came to snatch them. 20 tons of 30 tons of pineapples were taken away. A truck passing near Lanzhou overturned and the grapes on the car were robbed by villagers. The painting shows people carrying away the grapes neatly. Coincidentally, a truck full of melon seeds burst because of a tire burst, and the melon seeds were scattered on the road. A group of people came to "pick" the melon seeds and carried them home one by one. There were also looting of seafood transport trucks in Guangdong, and looting of daily necessities trucks in Shaanxi, etc. What's more, some people are robbed of their good deeds. A man in Zhengzhou gave free winter clothes to migrant workers in need. Unexpectedly, some people came to rob them after hearing the news. One man snatched a big woven bag full of winter clothes. Some newlyweds in Anhui released a hundred white pigeons during a collective wedding. As soon as the wedding was over, some people went to rob the pigeons to satisfy their greed. When a steamed stuffed bun shop in Chengdu opened, it wanted to give away free steamed stuffed buns on the first morning to get some luck. However, people looted and the dumplings were scattered all over the floor. Tables overturned and chairs fell over, leaving a mess all over the floor. The boss was left standing there in a daze. There were also people fighting for the hundred-yuan bills carelessly scattered by the migrant workers, which were his hard-earned money for a year!

In the United States, we have never seen such public looting, but in Chinese society, there are similar inappropriate behaviors. A few days ago, newspapers described how some Chinese people in San Francisco repeatedly lined up to get food distributed by the government to needy residents. Some people picked out unnecessary items and placed them on the side of the road, causing crowds of passers-by. Some people have exported China's looting trend abroad. Think carefully about similar situations happening around us from time to time. The Chinese Senior Citizens Center distributes free vegetables and fruits every Thursday, one serving per person. Some people like to rob, and even get a few more portions, so that some people can't get a share. Sometimes everyone gathers together, and everyone happily goes to get their favorite food. There are always some people who like to snatch one portion after another, making the good atmosphere unappetizing. There are also many places in Huangcheng that distribute free clothing and food to low-income people, but some people just can't get enough. Some people's families have produced doctors and professors, but they don't leave any spoiled children to their children. There are also people who croak when talking about truth, preach scriptures and sermons to people every day, and pick up things endlessly. They really embarrass the Chinese people.

Robbery has occurred frequently in Chinese history. In the feudal era, victims were hungry and snatched porridge out of necessity for life; during the Anti-Japanese War, people looted air-dropped relief supplies to cope with the pressure of life; during the revolutionary period, farmers looted landlords' granaries, which was a class struggle; now, the people participating in looting are not ragged and hungry, but it can be seen from their clothing that they are well-fed and well-fed. What is that for?

The looting stems from selfishness and greed. Selfishness is a human nature, a gene that humans are born with and rely on for survival and development. However, human beings use morality and law to control selfishness within prescribed limits, maintaining the coexistence and development of human society and preventing it from forming greed that undermines social development. In terms of ethics, the bottom line is not harming the interests of others. Legally speaking, private property is protected by the state. Regardless of whether the vehicle spills apples, grapes, melon seeds, or seafood, they are the private property of others. It is illegal to rob other people's property; unrestrained possession is immoral.

These phenomena commonly occur in China today because of the serious lack of moral education. Moral concepts such as loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, propriety, justice, integrity and shame, which are not part of the political party, have been abandoned; the ethics and moral concepts of Confucius, Mencius and religion have been overthrown; when people have not yet figured out what the new moral concepts are, a society in which "everything is about money" is unfolding in front of them. Everyone has their own plans for how to get rich first. So, the Eight Immortals crossed the sea and each showed their magical powers. The looters only thought they had encountered a small profit opportunity and did not take into account legal and moral constraints. Some people even defended their actions by saying that officials are robbing the country of a large amount of wealth, so why should we just pick up some melon seeds? Although this statement makes no sense, it also expresses some truth. Corruption and looting stem from a lack of morality.

The Chinese nation is on the road to rejuvenation. Along with economic revival, moral revival is a more important and more difficult task. Moral rejuvenation is the basic guarantee for national rejuvenation. It is unimaginable that a nation with serious moral deficiencies can stand at the forefront of the world's nations.
