The day before Tucson Qu Ning left Beijing, it was the day before "The Great Hall of the People in Beijing" On the second day of the "Dream of Red Mansions 30th Anniversary Celebration Concert", we were honored to invite Chen Li - an old friend of our Huasheng Choir and a good friend of my sister and I. The famous Chinese soprano singer who recorded all the music songs for the 1987 version of the TV series "Dream of Red Mansions". I’m really happy because this is the first privately invited friend gathering after Chen Li’s “Dream of Red Mansions” concert (I’m very happy that our director of the Confucius Institute Zhao was also invited to the banquet; it’s a pity that the group returned to the United States on the same day and missed it). Off the stage, Chen Li is dressed casually, with light makeup, refreshed, humorous, and chatting and laughing. In this rare gathering, everyone was like old friends, chatting about "Dream of Red Mansions", the story behind the filming of the TV series "Dream of Red Mansions", health, and hometown.

In the short time I spent with Chen Li, the two words I heard her say the most were gratitude and touching. Talking about his feelings at the Dream of Red Mansions concert, Chen Li said: When I stood on the stage, I saw the audience. Everyone was holding up their mobile phones, but the applause was still warm, which moved me very much. When talking about her husband's patriotic feelings, Chen Li said: My husband has a deep love for China and does not allow others to say anything bad about China, even though his life experience in China has been bumpy. Chen Li talked about a past incident: Back then, in order to support China APCA, her husband actually spent his own money to customize a large banner, expressing his support for China in large Chinese characters, and asked Chen Li to stand with him on the side of the street in the embassy area, each holding up a large red banner. Haha, we laughed after hearing this: Aren’t we, Chen Li, still a celebrity, just going to the streets to hold banners? At the same time, I once again felt Mr. Zhu’s patriotism. In the joyful gatherings, toasts were frequently raised at the family banquet, and both the host and the guests enjoyed themselves.

Finally, Chen Li responded to everyone's request and signed everyone's "Dream of Red Mansions" commemorative album one by one.
