Concert in Tempe Riverside Park raises money for street residents On October 11, 4 pairs of local bands gathered in Tempe Riverside Park to perform to help the homeless in Tempe. The event that day was called "Our House Tempe, World Homeless Day", and the local bands participating in the performance were Walter Richardson, Peace Warrior, Sean Johnson, and Sugar Thief Davis. Admission to the concert is free, but organizers ask audience members to bring items to donate to the homeless, such as socks, underwear, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Our Home Tempe is one of the Evelyn Rose Holman Foundation's initiatives to provide temporary shelter and assistance to first-time street residents. In addition, Our Home in Tempe will host Homeless Persons Memorial Eve on December 21st and the Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Commemoration on January 15th. * Street dwellers, also known as homeless people and shellless snails, homeless are also called.
