Local materials Solar City uses solar energy A trade group representative issued a survey report that more than 4,700 people are engaged in solar energy-related jobs in Arizona. In other words, the solar energy utilization rate in Arizona is second only to California and Colorado, ranking first in the country. A report from the Solar Energy Foundation, released this week, found that 36% of the 4,786 people working in solar installations, 27% in manufacturing and 12% in research and development. The survey was conducted with help from Cornell University and LMI Consulting. For this reason, Governor Brewer said that Arizona has abundant sunshine and Phoenix is known as the Sun City. Abundant renewable energy, low taxes and a well-trained workforce have contributed to the rapid growth of this industry in the state. The governor said three large renewable energy projects are under construction in Arizona, bringing hundreds of jobs to the state.
