The police in Flagstaff Port said that figures show that car theft cases in Shancheng are becoming increasingly serious. Officer James Jackson said 60 vehicles have been reported stolen so far this year, which is 10 more than this time last year. Thefts don't just occur in certain neighborhoods; car thieves are committed all over the city. In addition to car thefts, a large number of burglaries involve property placed in vehicles. Officer Jackson said that although many vehicles have been recovered, the police call on car owners to pay attention to parking their vehicles in areas with a lot of traffic, try not to put objects on the seats when leaving, and lock the doors to avoid leaving opportunities for thieves.
