The United States is no longer the world’s most powerful country
The United States is no longer the world’s most powerful country. The only report compiled by a reporter from Wanwei Reader: A column published by Reuters said, "The United States...
Judging from these two reports, the concept of "America First" in the minds of Americans is not worthy of the name. A Fox News poll in April this year showed that 84% of Americans believe that the United States is the greatest country in the world. 70% said they would never leave the United States to live elsewhere, and only 19% were willing to leave the United States for better earning opportunities and security. Although two-thirds of people think that the United States is weaker than five years ago, it is still the best country in the world. Perhaps Americans think America is greatest because of its military power. It is true that the United States spends huge amounts on military affairs, more than the rest of the world combined. Even if military spending is halved, it will still be higher than the figures currently announced. The current military expenditure of the United States to defend the homeland is the highest since World War II.
So, is there a certain connection between the high military consumption of the United States and the degree of injustice in American society? This is a matter of debate.
