Judge delays Tucson shooting suspect's stay at federal prison hospital (Alberta Times) 2/6 San Diego (AP) – A federal judge has extended the time the Tucson shooting suspect remains in a prison hospital where he will receive treatment. The decision follows Monday's hearing in San Diego. During a hearing before U.S. District Judge Larry Burns, Jared, the federal chief psychologist, told him that she believed the suspect was still not competent to stand trial, but that she had noticed some improvement in his mental state during his stay in Springfield.
