State poll: Romney narrowly wins (Alberta Times) According to a poll released on the 21st, U.S. Republican presidential candidate Santorini's support in Arizona is on par with rival Mitt Romney, indicating that this increasingly fierce Republican nomination battle may once again lead to an upset. The results of a joint Time Magazine/Cable News Network poll showed that the gap in support between Romney and Santoron narrowed, with Romney at 36% and Santoron at 32%. The survey had a plus or minus error of 4.5 percentage points. In previous polls, Romney led Santoron by double digits. The Arizona primary will be held on the 28th. Santoron didn't put much effort into running Arizona. Former House Speaker Gingrich's poll approval rating is 18%, while Texas Congressman Paul's approval rating is only 6%. A loss in Arizona would hit Romney hard. Michigan will also hold its primary election on the 28th. Even though Romney's father once served as governor of Michigan, polls show Santoron with a slight lead there.
