For those who drive daily, the electronic camera may be a nightmare. Whether you are speeding or not, it is there and cannot be removed. Whether you run a red light or not, it is there and you can flash it whenever you want. Not many people like it, but there are many who hate it. Now, state lawmakers will vote on whether to turn off speed cameras across the state. Those who support the continued use of cameras say that statistics show that cameras can give drivers tips and are of great help in preventing accidents and saving lives. Opponents say the cameras simply result in unnecessary tickets for many motorists. They claim that the existence of cameras replaces the enforcement of traffic police. It is quite ridiculous to have a machine to judge whether you have committed a foul. Moreover, the machine may make errors due to weather, power outages, etc., which is obviously unfair to the driver.
