Light rail construction affects traffic in Mesa (Alberta Times) Motorists are beginning to have headaches about traffic in Mesa. Since early May, preliminary construction of the Mesa City light rail extension project has begun. The light rail contractor VTC has moved workers and drilling machines between Mesa Drive and Sycamore. There will be intermittent traffic restrictions during the construction period, and one lane in both directions will be open during most working hours. Please pay attention to the on-site traffic signage instructions or take a detour if possible.
