>Tempe police identify fatal shooter (Alberta Times) Tempe police have identified one of two men. They say the family broke up last week after crashing into a private car and shooting a resident before fleeing on foot. Jose Hernandez, 41, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Charles Celli, 52, at Rosselli's apartment in the 200 block of East Hermosa in Tempe, according to Sheriff Jeff Lover, a spokesman for the Tempe Police Department. He said detectives have also been in contact with the investigation team and he is currently facing charges unrelated to this case. "This individual has not been charged in connection with this homicide investigation, but based on the information available during this period, detectives are not currently looking for additional suspects," Glover said Tuesday. The incident began around 11:30 p.m. on May 8, he said, when Hernandez and another man kicked their way out of Rosselli's apartment, made a lot of noise and eventually shot the 52-year-old Rosselli. Police believe the incident may have been drug-related. The two then sped away and got into a white passenger vehicle east of Hermosa, Glover said. As they fled, they lost control of the car and ran a red light on Mill Avenue. The suspect, who fled eastbound, then entered a residential area and attempted to break into several houses. One of the men broke into the second house, Glover said, and obtained the second victim's car keys. They fled in another car but crashed shortly after hitting a retaining wall, police said. "It's like right out of a movie," Glover told The Republic last week. After police captured Hernandez, others were injured and taken to the hospital. A pistol was said to have been found on him. Roselli was taken to hospital, where he died from injuries last Friday. Hernandez was released from the hospital on Monday and faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, police said.
