According to a spokesman for the State Public Safety Patrol, 59-year-old Ansaka was driving a gray Toyota and was traveling westbound on the east side of Highway 101. Scott Benson, a 43-year-old Tempe man, was riding a motorcycle in the opposite direction. The two vehicles collided. Benson died of serious injuries after being sent to the hospital.
