Intel no longer sponsors Boy Scouts Chandler-based Intel Corp. announced Sunday that it will stop donating to a branch of the Boy Scouts of America because it does not support homosexuality. Zach Valles, founder of the Equality Scouts affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America, issued a statement asking Intel to pay a donation of nearly $700,000 that it pledged in 2010. Intel CDO Rosalynn Hanel said on Friday that Intel will no longer fund any Boy Scout organization in the United States because of the Boy Scouts of America's long-term insistence on banning gay people from joining and serving as leaders.
