The Tombstone deputy chief shot and killed a teenager. The Cochise County Sheriff's Office said a Tombstone Police Department deputy commander was under internal investigation after he fatally shot a 15-year-old boy in the line of duty. At 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, a resident of Tangshidong called the police, saying that someone was trying to break in. The deputy commander led his men to the scene and found that the boy was already in the house and holding a pistol. The deputy commander then shot and killed him. Police later informed the boy's family that the homeowner was not injured. A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office said the incident is being investigated by county deputies and the Sara Vista Police Department.
