Judge bars state representative from running for re-election On Monday, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Randall Warner ruled in favor of Rapp in a case brought by Republican activist Terry Rapp against Democratic Rep. Katherine Miranda's re-election bid. Although Miranda won the state's Democratic House nomination in August, Rupp alleged that she was ineligible to be a candidate because some of her signatures on election documents were allegedly forged. Judge Na said some of the documents should have become public record in May, but the defendants failed to complete them in September, the state law deadline, so Miranda lost the case and citizens did not need to vote on her re-election on November 2.
