Near miss, lost Boy Scout found (Alberta Times) Last weekend, a Boy Scout lost during a hiking activity has been found and returned to his parents. The Boy Scouts held a 10-mile hike and camping event in the Tonto National Forest last Friday afternoon and were scheduled to return to the meeting point at 4 p.m. Saturday. However, after the scheduled time, two Boy Scouts and two adult Boy Scouts did not return, including the grandson of former Senate President Russell Pierce, and the four of them only brought food and drinking water for the day. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office later launched a helicopter search and finally found them around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
