(Phoenix City Comprehensive News on the 25th) 17 climbers in Arizona, the United States, were trapped due to flash floods. The local rescue department rescued most of the trapped people on Sunday (23rd), and the last two were rescued by rescue helicopters on Monday (24th).
The incident occurred at a waterfall in Tankai. The clip shows that the big tree in the middle of the torrent was almost submerged, and the stranded climbers clung to the branches at the top of the tree to prevent being washed away by the flood. Rescuers on the helicopter swam down the rope and brought the climber back to safety after he grabbed his legs.
After receiving reports of trapped climbers, the authorities rescued most of them that day. However, the entire rescue operation was not completed by night. In the end, they had to leave the last two climbers at the scene, airdropped supplies to them, and rescued them the next day.
