China News Service, Washington, December 22 (Reporter) Diao Haiyang) U.S. President Trump signed the "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" sent by the U.S. Congress at the White House on the 22nd, delivering the "Christmas gift" he promised to Americans as scheduled.

Trump said that after the tax reform bill takes effect, American families will receive $3.2 trillion in tax cuts. The corporate income tax rate will be reduced from 35% to 21%. This means more goods will be produced in the United States and more companies will choose to stay in the United States. He also said that US$4 trillion of capital is expected to flow back from overseas.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was voted by the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate on the 20th of this month. After Trump signs it into effect, the bill will be implemented in January 2018, and most American families will enjoy the benefits of tax cuts starting in February 2018.

Trump also signed a missile defense system procurement plan worth US$4 billion on the 22nd.

When answering reporters’ questions about infrastructure construction, Trump said that infrastructure construction is not a difficult task. He said that because many Democrats have expressed support for expanding infrastructure construction, related matters can be easily promoted and implemented.

When asked what he gained in 2017, Trump said that learning to deal with Congress was an important gain in his first year in office. He said that he did not know how to deal with members of the House and Senate when he first took office, but now he has become friends with many members and has a better understanding of the legislative process.
