Chinese Americans have a great weekend gathering and have a great time - The Joy Luck Club's fourth event (Photos) On Sunday, December 4, from 12 noon to 5 pm, the Chinese Joy Luck Club of Alberta organized a happy dinner in Chandler to share home-cooked Chinese food, chat, sing karaoke, and have a variety of entertainment performances. We arrived at the dinner venue at noon. Before we even entered the door, we saw a small house decorated with a Christmas atmosphere. The Chinese songs in the house gave people the smell of China early on. When you walk into the hall, you will see the dining table full of delicious food, including fried ribs, cola chicken wings, fried rice, fried shrimps with snow peas, tempting cheese cakes, colorful fruit platters, as well as drinks, tea and wine. Various Foods The organizer of the event is called Frank. He said the purpose of the event is very clear, which is to "eat, drink and have fun". Frank said that this is the fourth time that the Joy Luck Club of Alberta has organized an event, and each time there are more people than ever before, because everyone likes such activities, it is fun, and friends pull friends to form such a huge team. Nearly 70 people had participated in the event that day. Happy Talk The first activity of the event is to taste the food. Everyone can take a big plate and choose the food they like. Usually when cooking at home, the taste always seems to be monotonous. Today I can finally try Baijia Rice. The ladies also sit together and exchange cooking experiences. The men chatted about where there was a table tennis match, a tennis match, and when we could all get together for some activities. The children also met many new friends at once. Some were drawing Christmas cards and some were playing video games. Everyone was very busy. The beauties were posing and the handsome boys were busy playing games. After the feast, the most exciting part was the artistic performance. He Ludi, a well-known guzheng teacher in Phoenix City, performed famous songs such as "When Will You Come Again" and "Spring River Flower Moon" live for the guests. The children at the scene also ordered some songs at the last minute, and Teacher He immediately performed live. He Ludi's Guzheng Solo Audience Focused on Guzheng Solo Zhao Bing's solo "I Am Chinese" once won second place in the Arizona Chinese Karaoke Competition. He was neatly dressed in military uniform and military cap, and his resonant singing voice brightened up the scene, giving him a very stage-like atmosphere. When he sang "River of Clouds" again, he immediately transformed into the role of a young man from Shanghai, wearing a white boss hat and being very funny. Zhao Bing's solo The Chinese Joy Luck Club of Alberta is a completely entertaining non-governmental organization. They have their own website.
