"Submissions from the Chinese Nationality" provided by the China Overseas Exchange Association and the Chinese Cultural Development Center of the Chinese Overseas Chinese Newspaper were recently held at the Chinese Senior Center in Phoenix. Both Chinese and American friends carefully looked at the beautifully colored photos and brief introductions about each ethnic group in each frame. Some families, old and young, watched it together and enjoyed it happily, reflecting the strong home complex of the descendants of Yan and Huang overseas.
Exhibition scene As we all know, the Chinese nation is a big family composed of 56 ethnic groups. Before 221 AD, Qin Shihuang unified China and established the first multi-ethnic country. After the founding of New China in 1949, the era of equality, unity, and mutual assistance among all ethnic groups in China began. Photographer Chen Haiwen led a creative team of 14 people and spent more than a year traveling to 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. Using a unique photography interview method, he took a large number of photos and used a vivid perspective to comprehensively display the real life conditions of 56 ethnic groups.
The China Overseas Exchange Association hopes that through the exhibition of the "Chinese Nation Family Portrait" pictures, it will contribute to promoting mutual understanding, common prosperity and development of all ethnic groups in China and the world.
