The sky was blue and the sun was warm. On this large lawn, street friends were scattered around, meditating, talking, or listening to songs. Take a nap first. People often say that you may be awake in your dreams, but you often daydream when you are awake. In downtown Phoenix, the "CASS" between Madsion and 12Ave is a charity assistance unit subsidized by the county government, which houses homeless people who are temporarily homeless. But for many homeless people, February 4th must be a happy day for them, because everyone saw the "dragon" and the free lunch was right in front of them. It had already started. There was no need to prepare anything, just queue up. The people who serve them are "descendants of the dragon". These people wear red hats and yellow clothes. There is also a dragon head pattern embroidered on the hats and clothes to inform everyone that this year is the "Chinese Year of the Dragon". In the past many years, the descendants of these dragons would prepare more than a thousand portions of food to entertain them around the Chinese New Year. The people in yellow arrived early this morning, brought in the frying pan, set up the table, and piled up sodas, bottles of water, and food. A lot of ingredients were being prepared yesterday, and the big pot of delicious and juicy beef took a long time to cook! When it was time to start the meal, they started to work together, each put on their gloves, filled one plate after another with white rice, green orchids, golden chicken nuggets and spring rolls, plus cooked beef, equipped with paper towels, forks and drinks, and handed them to today's guests one by one. Sometimes the queue is too long, so we simply bring hot meals to the guests at the back of the queue and tell everyone that the food is sufficient and if there is not enough, they can add more. The descendants of Long called these guests "street friends". There was no hypocrisy or sympathy in their eyes, but only kindness and respect. They keep working on their hands and feet for hours without feeling tired, because people who do good deeds will be very happy. As in previous years, this charity event was organized by the Alberta Chinese Restaurant Association, with the help of a large number of kind-hearted and loving volunteers. The sky is blue and the sun is warm. The street friends are also very happy today because they have love, because they have food and clothing, and because they are respected.
