On the evening of March 15th, Zhang Huafang, the new chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation, invited some volunteers to discuss the celebration of the United States National Day and the preparations for the beauty pageant at the Oriental Art School this year. At the meeting, everyone spoke freely, offered their opinions and suggestions, and put forward many good suggestions. The meeting proposed that the overseas Chinese groups and compatriots from all walks of life should be contacted to actively participate in the event; the characteristics of Chinese integration into American society should be reflected; while the celebration party with the beauty pageant as the main content should be held well, ball games and composition or painting competitions suitable for the characteristics of young people should be held. The theme of this year's celebration party is initially determined to be "Dragon and Phoenix Dance". The preparation and organization of the party are mainly based on New Oriental Art School, with the participation of experienced people. The meeting recommended that beauty pageant girls be immediately solicited for registration and training start as soon as possible. From now on, volunteer work meetings are tentatively scheduled to be held at New Oriental Art School at 6:30 every Wednesday night. In order to run this event, some volunteer help is needed.
