At 9:30 a.m. on May 13, Tzu Chi Phoenix Liaison Office held a Buddha bathing ceremony for more than 160 people to celebrate "Tzu Chi Buddha's Birthday, Mother's Day, and Global Tzu Chi Day." Hundreds of great virtues came to the Tzu Chi Phoenix Liaison Office, and everyone stood quietly and neatly in the Jing Si Hall. "Offer lamps and candles, offer incense soup, offer flowers and incense," the emcee's voice guided in a grand voice, and Tzu Chi's brothers and sisters demonstrated the basic procedures for bathing the Buddha to the eminent practitioners. Put your hands together, bow at 90 degrees, collect the water of wisdom, stand up with your hands together, bow at 90 degrees, touch the fragrance of flowers with your hands, and stand up with your hands together. Brothers and sisters, meditate on the pure water of wisdom to stop distracting worries and focus on one thing. Then, with uniform movements, the crowd offered lamps, candles, incense soup, and flower incense to pay homage to the Buddhas with a pure heart. They devoutly put their hands together and raised their heads to the sky to pray, hoping that the world would be free from disasters and that people's hearts would be purified and peaceful. It was Mother's Day, and the children from Tzu Chi's Children's Advanced Class took to the meditation stage to perform a wonderful sign language song performance for the mothers. Compare yourself to a little bug, compare your mother to a big tree, and praise your mother's selfless dedication. Bath the Buddha body and purify your mind. The solemn Buddha bathing ceremony slowly comes to an end amid elegant singing. Buddha’s Birthday, Mother’s Day, and Global Tzu Chi Day were all celebrated together. Congregants were given Tzu Chi portable water cups and beautiful carnations to take the festive mood home with them.
