The 10th Anniversary Gala of the Asia-Pacific Community Promotion Association (multiple photos) (Asia Times News) The most watched charity event in the Asia-Pacific community, the Asia-Pacific Community Promotion Association Charity Fundraising Bazaar Dinner was held at 5:30 pm on May 12 at the Doubletree Hotel in Scottsdale. This is also the anniversary of the Asian Pacific Community Advancement Association’s ten years of service to the Asian community. This fundraising dinner was fully supported by Wells Fargo Bank APS and Gilead Sciences. Asian overseas Chinese leaders, businessmen, and doctors were also the main contributors to this fundraising. Senior overseas Chinese leader Yu Wenjin, House of Representatives Yu Yanfen and his wife, Alberta Times President Zhen Shuoqin, former White House Asia-Pacific Affairs Commissioner Deng Chaoju, and Chairman of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Zhang Huafang, nearly 300 philanthropists were invited to attend the event. At 5:30, the charity silent auction was held in the cocktail party. Guests from China, South Korea, Thailand, Japan and other Asian countries dressed in festive costumes admired artworks and daily necessities with Asian characteristics in the auction exhibition hall, and wrote down the auction prices in front of their favorite works. Many exquisite oriental works of art have been collected by philanthropists. The charity dinner officially started at 7 o'clock. Albert Celoza, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Asia Pacific Community Promotion Association, delivered a speech and introduced the services provided by the Asia Pacific Community Promotion Association to the community. Over the past decade, APCA has provided hepatitis B testing, vaccinations, cold shots, diabetes screenings, cancer education and medical referrals to thousands of Arizonans. Of course, in addition to these daily health screenings, there are also many special projects for ethnic minorities being carried out, such as the cultural bridge project, which uses language to help ethnic minorities who are not good in English to conduct consultations and consultations. This year, the Taiwan Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation and small business owner Renner Sohai were commended by the Asia Pacific Community Promotion Association for their long-term persistence in philanthropy. Ms. Xu Kailai, founder of the Asia Pacific Community Promotion Association, awarded the 2012 Evita Saquilayan Nurse Scholarship to Kayla Dong. The annual charity fundraising dinner of the Community Promotion Association is a big gathering of Chinese doctors. Everyone is usually very busy, so it is rare to get together. Not only can they contribute a small amount to charity, but they can also take this opportunity to catch up with each other. Live food, songs, dances, and wonderful performances by Asian artists pushed the event to the climax. Guests generously donated money to the Asian Pacific Community Promotion Association.
