This fundraising dinner was fully supported by Wells Fargo Bank APS and Gilead Sciences. Asian overseas Chinese leaders, businessmen, and doctors were also the main contributors to this fundraising. Senior overseas Chinese leader Yu Wenjin, House of Representatives Yu Yanfen and his wife, Alberta Times President Zhen Shuoqin, former White House Asia-Pacific Affairs Commissioner Deng Chaoju, and Chairman of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Zhang Huafang, nearly 300 philanthropists were invited to attend the event.
