Sunbird Chronicle - Little Sisters Who Love to Paint (Photos) (Author: Ma Dadi, the grandfather of the protagonist of this article, now lives in Guangzhou. Born in Chongqing in 1946, she is a senior chemical engineer, a member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a national first-level tennis referee. She co-authored the book "Basic Tennis Techniques and Strategies", which was my country's first tennis monograph published overseas. Later, "Basic Tennis Techniques and Tactics" and "Illustrated Tennis - From Beginner to Mastery" were published. ) Twin sisters Sasha and Kaka grew up in the United States. Since childhood, they have been very lively and have a wide range of hobbies. They travel, ride bicycles, swim, skate, sing, dance, ride horses, play piano, and now learn taekwondo. Among them, painting is their common favorite. When they first learn to walk, they like to draw everywhere. Dad prepared a small blackboard for each of them. When my grandfather went to visit relatives in the United States, he would draw a small animal on their small blackboard every morning. The first thing they did when they got up was to run to the small blackboard in the living room to see what little animals their grandfather had drawn for them. Then they began to draw according to their own imagination, and they drew the pictures they wanted to express. Their favorite things to draw are princesses from fairy tales, unicorns, and various whales. They can draw dozens of different whales, write their names, and talk about their characteristics, which is not easy for kindergarten children. Picture 1. Sister Kaka and her little blackboard. Picture 2 The little sisters went back to Guangzhou for summer vacation. The first thing they did when they got up in the morning was still draw. As they got older, they began to write stories on the screen, writing fairy tales they had read. They would point to the paintings and explain to us carefully, and also connect the relationships between various characters and animals. In kindergartens and primary schools, their painting and storytelling were very popular with children and teachers. Although their painting was still at a very immature stage, their persistent interest in painting infected many people around them. Some classmates actually asked them to become teachers and learn painting from them. Picture 3 They started to add stories to the pictures Picture 4 They returned to Guangzhou during the summer vacation and painted at the home of the director of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Other children of the same age couldn't sit still and ran away to play after painting for a while. Shasha and Kaka have been concentrating on painting. The dean of the Academy of Fine Arts was particularly fond of these two little sisters. He taught them how to draw and gave them the best drawing paper, brushes and her picture album. Figure 5 The two sisters have made significant progress in painting now. This is the horse head painted by sister Shasha and the cat painted by sister Kaka. Figure 6 They have begun to learn oil painting and watercolor painting. Shasha and Kaka may not necessarily become painters in the future, but the joy and happiness of painting will accompany them throughout their lives and become an important part of their lives, making their lives full of beauty and hope!
