Warmly welcome the governor to the Overseas Chinese Federation Spring Banquet - the preparations for the Overseas Chinese Federation are in progress (Overseas Chinese Federation News) At the invitation of the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and mainstream dignitaries will attend the 2013 Spring Banquet hosted by the Overseas Chinese Federation, making the spring banquet event in the 45th year of the Overseas Chinese Federation even more special and brighter. On January 3, the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation held an expanded preparatory meeting at Mushu Restaurant to discuss the 2013 Spring Banquet held by the Overseas Chinese Federation. The participating Overseas Chinese Federation groups and leaders of overseas Chinese organizations from all walks of life discussed and prepared for the Spring Banquet of the Overseas Chinese Federation to be held on January 31 with full enthusiasm and positive attitude. Mr. Yu Wenjin, a senior overseas Chinese leader, went to the scene to understand the situation and provided important guidance on the Spring Banquet activities. As the coordinator of this event, the former Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation, Deng Chaoju, worked seriously and responsibly, and implemented tasks specifically to ensure the progress of the preparation work. Zhang Huafang, the current chairman of the Overseas Chinese Federation, prepared a plan early in the morning, with detailed and thoughtful details, and communicated well with various overseas Chinese groups and fraternal groups. Eighteen groups of the Overseas Chinese Federation, including Chairman of the Veterans Association Deng Zhaolin, Chairman of the Science and Engineering College Yang Xia, Chairman of the Homogeneous Association Huang Deng Xiuling, Huamei Professional Association Chairman Deng Hongyue, Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Chairman Wu Zhaowen, Alberta Chinese Restaurant Association Chairman Guan Zhaofeng, Desert Jade Women's Association Chairman Yu Meilian, Longgang Office Chairman Zhang Huafang, Deng Gaomi Office Chairman Deng Fengzhan, Overseas Chinese Women's Association Chairman Fang Huixian, Chairman of the Senior Citizens Association Deng Qingfen, Chairman of the Chinese Welfare Association Zhang Zhaohong, Chairman of the Phoenix Rongguang Association Gao Zhizhong, Chairman of the Taiwan Fellowship Association Wan Peijie, Chairman of the Huang Clan Association Huang Yunwen, Chairman of Yu Fengcai Hall Yu Zizhong, Ying Mrs. Huang Dingbang, the chairman of the Duan Industrial and Commercial Branch, and Cui Zengqi, the principal of Feini Chinese School, are the vice-chairmen. Everyone divides the work and works together to make this Spring Banquet a success and let the mainstream society have more understanding and support for our Chinese community. The Chinese history in Phoenix spans over a hundred years. Over the years, the Chinese have made great contributions to the province. The Chinese have made outstanding achievements in politics. They have produced the first Chinese state representative in the United States, the first Chinese federal justice in the United States, the first oldest and longest-serving Chinese mayor in the United States, the first Chinese female presiding judge of the Phoenix Municipal Court, the first female Chinese senator in Arizona, etc. In all walks of life in Alberta, Chinese are also elites. At the Spring Festival Banquet of the Overseas Chinese Federation, these precious historical materials and pictures will be presented to everyone. Since its establishment, the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation has persistently organized activities to celebrate the National Day of the United States. Over the years, it has received numerous congratulatory messages and letters from federal senators, justices, governors, state senators, representatives and mayors. Many mainstream politicians have attended the celebrations. In the 1970s, Governor Bruce E. Babbit personally came to the Overseas Chinese Federation to celebrate the National Day; in the 2000s, Governor Jane Dee Hull participated in the activities held by the Federation of Overseas Chinese Chairman Deng Chaoju when he was appointed as the Asia-Pacific regional committee member; this year's Overseas Chinese Federation Spring Banquet, we welcomed Governor Jan Brewer and mainstream dignitaries to participate. This is not only the glory of the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation, but also belongs to the entire Chinese community. As the good news spread, elites from all walks of life called to congratulate and made appointments to attend the celebration. This spring banquet will show the traditional Chinese respect for distinguished guests; it will show the unity of the local Chinese community; it will also show the governor's politicians' concern for the Chinese; it will also show the integration of Chinese and mainstream society, and the support of the Overseas Chinese Federation groups for the governor. The Spring Banquet of the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation will be held at Luk Fook Restaurant on January 31. You can expect elites to gather and it will be very lively! This grand event happens once every ten years, and this atmosphere is sure to be exciting and unforgettable! The surplus from this spring banquet will be used to fund Feini Chinese School.
