Hope Chinese School held its annual New Year Dinner at Fengcheng Restaurant on the evening of February 9, 2013, the night of New Year's Eve in the Year of the Snake! The Spring Festival is the most important festival for us Chinese. The coming of the Spring Festival in the Year of the Snake makes us all miss our relatives in China especially at this moment. , I miss the family carnival, the sound of firecrackers and the smell of the New Year. In order to relieve everyone's homesickness, and more importantly, let our children in the United States also feel the atmosphere and traditions of the Chinese New Year, I hope the Chinese school will hold a New Year dinner before and after the Spring Festival every year! As in previous years, this year's Spring Festival dinner was held at Fengcheng Restaurant. More than 200 parents, children, school committee members and teachers gathered together to welcome the Year of the Snake. Ms. Huang Shuangshuang, the chairman of the Hope Chinese School, and Ms. Zhao Caihong and Ms. Xie Xiaohong gave the opening speech and sent New Year blessings to every guest present.

While enjoying the food, everyone also enjoyed the small performances performed by the students and parents, and actively participated in various entertainment games carefully prepared by the school. When the children stood together and greeted the parents present with their loudest and most beautiful voices, the party reached its climax in 2000. Many parents rushed to raise their hands to answer the questions. The songs they were once familiar with were so familiar, and only those of us who have been away from home for many years can understand it more deeply. The party ended with the choir singing "Unforgettable Tonight". Amidst the joyful singing and laughter, and the delicious food, every guest present had an unforgettable Spring Festival. Especially the children had a deeper understanding of this ancient and important festival.
