(Contributed by Phoenix Chinese School) On May 5th, Phoenix Chinese School held its 2013 graduation ceremony at Mesa Community College. After the graduates entered and took their seats, Principal Cheng Xiuling delivered a speech to the graduates with emotion and reluctance. There are nine graduates this year: Xu Anli, who is lively and generous, Zhang Zhongdi, who is humorous, Fu Shiting, who is good at singing and dancing, Wu Yilin, who is both talented and knowledgeable, Guo Boyi, who is optimistic and enterprising, Zhang Zhongjia, who is beautiful and smart, Yue Kangwen, who is good at both morals and academics, Huang Kai, who is good at singing and dancing, and Wen Ji'en, who is good at five educations. The most commendable ones are Xu Anli, Wu Yilin and Yue Kangwen who attended the preschool class of the Chinese school from the age of three and have persisted all the way until now. Other graduates have also studied Chinese for more than ten years and speak Chinese very fluently.

Mr. Deng Chaoju delivered a speech

Our school is honored to invite Mr. Deng Chaoju, former member of the White House Asian and Pacific Islander Council, to attend the graduation ceremony and share his valuable life experience. Mr. Deng not only shows his prominence in the business community, but also actively participates in activities in the overseas Chinese community. He is not only the director of the Southwest Region of the American Chinese Welfare Association, but also the managing director of the Arizona Better Business Bureau. He encouraged the graduates present to continue learning Chinese after graduation, believing that this skill would be a useful tool for them to find jobs in the future.

Farewell to the graduates

Group photo of the graduates. Then the graduating class tutor, Ms. Lu Zhenling, introduced the graduates. Teacher Lu, who has a wealth of knowledge, used the photos of each graduate to make a slideshow of their personal growth, and asked each graduate to read a poem and deliver a graduation speech. Teacher Lu used different poems to explain the meaning of the poems, starting from Yan Shu's "Butterflies in Love with Flowers" "Last night the west wind withered the green trees. Going up to the tall building alone, I can see all the way to the end of the world." and Liu Yong, which is often used to describe the relationship between men and women. "The crowd searched for him thousands of times. Suddenly looking back, he was there, in the dimly lit place." and the well-known Su Shi; Li Bai's "About to Enter the Wine" and so on. Finally, Cui Hao ended this poem sharing by saying, "The people of the past have gone on the Yellow Crane, and the Yellow Crane Tower is empty here. The Yellow Crane is gone and never returns, and the white clouds are empty for thousands of years." In the speeches given by these nine graduates, they unanimously said that they were not willing to attend a Chinese school at the beginning. But now that they think about it, they are grateful to their parents for their persistence and the teachers’ earnest teachings, which allowed them to continue studying Chinese for many years and make these good friends. After the graduates gave speeches, they sang "Invisible Wings" together. I hope that this song will encourage them to be brave and strong, face difficulties, and chase their dreams. The "invisible wings" will take you to soar into the sky and achieve your goals. Then the school issued graduation certificates and gifts, and finally the students sang "Blessings" - "It hurts to say goodbye, although the parting is in front of you. Say goodbye, goodbye will not be too far away. If you are destined, you can look forward to tomorrow, you and I will meet again in the glorious season." The graduation ceremony came to an end. Finally, in the song "Fly with confidence", I wish the graduates to fly high and achieve great success! Registration for the 2013 Phoenix Chinese School fall class will start on August 11. > Yan Shu's "Butterfly Loves Flowers" The west wind withered the green trees last night. Go up to a tall building alone and look at the end of the world

> Liu Yong's clothes are getting wider and wider, but he never regrets it, because of Yi's disappearance, people are haggard.

Xin Qiji searched for him thousands of times. Suddenly looking back, the man is there, in the dimly lit place

Wang Wei's "Xinyiwu" The hibiscus flowers are at the end of the wood, and the calyx is red in the mountains. There is no one in the stream. They open and close one after another.

Su Shi People have joys and sorrows, and the moon waxes and wanes. This is a difficult thing in ancient times. I hope that people will live long and share the beauty of the moon thousands of miles apart.

Li Bai <About to Drink> If you are proud of life, you must enjoy it to the fullest. Do not let the golden bottle stand empty against the moon. My talents are destined to be useful, and I will come back after all the gold I have spent.

Li Shangyin's "Chang'e" The candle shadow on the mica screen is deep, The long river is gradually setting and the dawn stars are sinking. Chang'e should regret stealing the elixir, and her heart will be filled with blue sea and blue sky every night.

Jin Yong's "The Song of the Water Dragon" The glory of my body is like the floating clouds of life and death, why should I be afraid of this body! Teach the Chanyu how to break arrows, the six armies are ready to change, and the heroic heroes are angry!

Cui Hao People in the past have gone by Yellow Crane, but the Yellow Crane Tower is empty here. The yellow crane is gone and never returns, and the white clouds remain empty for thousands of years.
