Recording the stories of Arizona Chinese and new highlights of the "Phoenix PEN" gathering [News from this website] May 11, 2013 At noon on the same day, nearly fifty Arizona PEN members and friends who love Chinese culture held a gathering at the "Jasmine" cafeteria in Scottsdale to communicate and celebrate "Mother's Day." Shang Huiming and Chen Rongji, representatives of the Tucson area of "Phoenix PEN", made a special trip to attend the meeting. President Shuai Zhiruo, Dr. Chen Pu and other members warmly welcomed them from afar. The local representatives of "Phoenix PEN" welcomed the two representatives from Tucson, from left to right: Chen Rongji, Chen Pu, Shang Huiming, Shuai Zhiruo. The dozens of people who came to the gathering that day came from all walks of life. What they have in common is that they love Chinese culture, have personal experience and thinking about the exchange and integration of Eastern and Western cultures, and hope to further learn Chinese culture and promote multicultural exchanges through writing and reading. Literary friends spoke enthusiastically at the meeting and actively discussed future writing topics. Some literary friends shared wonderful stories about their life journey with everyone. Everyone said that they should take action to write about the experience and mental journey of Chinese Americans in the United States, write about the life stories of Chinese Americans in Arizona in all aspects of clothing, food, housing, and transportation, and record the various aspects of Chinese people in Arizona. We also recommend that we open a column on the "Sunbird" website BBS to centrally and continuously publish our own stories of Arizona Chinese, so that everyone can contribute, discuss, record and share together, so that the overseas life of Chinese friends can become more colorful. Shang Huiming, vice president of Phoenix PEN, talks about the idea of writing a collection of Chinese life stories. Members of Phoenix PEN have written articles and poems on various themes over the years, and communicate with each other through emails to enrich the spiritual life of literary friends. They also send articles from time to time for publication in various media. In recent years, members of "Phoenix PEN" have written a large number of articles and sent them to the "Sunbird" website, using the website as a platform to share them with more Chinese people. After the articles and poems were published, they had a certain influence and a good response in the Chinese community in the state. The person in charge of the "Sunbird" Chinese website said on the spot that he would give full support and open a column on BBS to publish an album of Arizona Chinese life stories to better serve pen pals and the community. Six professors from the state university, Lin Yuesheng, Hu Qiang, Liu Huan, Tao Meng, Yu Hongbin, and Professor Zhang, attended the party and expressed their strong support. The party was extremely exciting and interesting. Many old and new friends had a good time chatting with each other until about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. They said goodbye and agreed to take action, write diligently, and read more real stories happening around the Chinese people as soon as possible.
