(Contributed by Feini Chinese School) On December 7, Feini Chinese School ushered in the last day of classes this autumn. After completing the final exam under the leadership of the teacher, the students from each class came to the central venue happily. Some parents and school volunteers have put the food prepared by the Chinese Children's Museum Association for the students on site, and the walls are hung with vibrant and childlike pictures created by the children in the painting class. People tasted the delicious food, watched and commented on the children's works, parents and teachers chatted freely, and the children chased and played. The venue was filled with a joyful and festive atmosphere. After four months of intense study, the teacher led the students to perform some short performances to show their learning results. Cantonese first and second grade students performed two songs: I Love Mom and Chinese Dream in Cantonese. The parents and guests present were pleasantly surprised and said that the children had begun to sing the Chinese Dream, and we had to catch up quickly. The first-grade students in the Mandarin language class presented a happy birthday song to their teachers and classmates who were born in December; the children’s performance of Xixi opera, which incorporated digital education into play, was so innocent that it made people laugh from ear to ear; the second-grade students recited Wang Zhihuan’s Ascent of the Yellow Magpie Tower and Li Bai’s Thoughts on a Quiet Night, with accurate pronunciation of each word and a slight yin-yang tone, which attracted applause from the whole hall; The third-grade students collectively introduced their class in Chinese and performed a writing competition. Victoria, an American female student in the class, sang a Taiwanese pop song with pure Chinese pronunciation. She especially likes singing and can sing dozens of Chinese folk songs skillfully. Students in the adult Chinese conversation class demonstrated their ability to distinguish difficult pronunciations by using the tongue twister "Fourteen is not forty". When the children in the martial arts class danced on the field wearing two colorful little lions, the children screamed and jumped excitedly. Everyone wanted to jump under the belly of the lion.

> Feini Chinese School is the earliest Chinese school established by the Phoenix Overseas Chinese Federation in downtown Phoenix. The leaders of the Overseas Chinese Federation have always attached great importance to and supported Chinese school education. During the very busy Christmas season, overseas Chinese leaders Yu Wenjin and Mr. Deng Chaoju found time to spend this happy time with parents and children and delivered speeches. They wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. He once again emphasized the importance of educating the next generation and inheriting and promoting Chinese culture, and hoped that Chinese schools would run better. Ms. Zhang Huafang, Chairman of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and Mr. Zhang Zhaohong, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese also came to attend the celebration. On behalf of the Federation of Overseas Chinese, they expressed their gratitude to the Chinese Restaurant Association, which has long provided free meals to Chinese schools, and the Chinese Senior Citizens Association, which provides school venues. They also expressed their deep gratitude to the teachers who work hard to nurture children and the volunteers who work for the school, and presented gifts. School leaders also gave Christmas gifts to teachers, volunteers and students.

In the midst of laughter, people wished each other a merry Christmas, cherished their farewells, and met again at the start of school on January 11, 2014.
