Local families

(Contributed by the Alberta Hualien) The "3rd Alberta Hualian Tennis Open" was held as scheduled on March 8, 2014 at Perry High School in Gilbert. There are many players who have signed up for the competition. In addition to local tennis enthusiasts, there are also many tennis players from Tucson. The boys' singles and doubles competitions were held on March 8th. The boys' singles champion and runner-up were decided on March 12th at Arrowhead Meadows Park in Chandler. The girls' singles and mixed doubles competitions were held on March 22nd at Mesquite High School in Gilbert. During the game, you can often see the audience outside the field applauding the players on the field, and the players on the field applauding the opponent's good shots. The field is full of friendship and competition from beginning to end. After three days of intense competition from group rounds, semi-finals, and finals, the championship and runner-up in each group were determined. Mixed Doubles: Champion-Thi Diep (Ye Shi)/Trung Hung Lam (Lin Xinzhong), runner-up-Jody Zhu (朱绮癗)/Ting Zhu (朱婗)

This tennis open is hosted by the Chinese Federation of Alberta (UCAA). Wang Weizi, president of the Alberta Hualian Federation, convened and collaborated with Coach Li, Zhang Haibiao and Ron Zhang to provide professional event organization for the Open: including schedule arrangement, competition format and rules, etc. The Alberta Hualien and the organizers of this Open would like to thank all players who participated, and special thanks to Professional Tennis Management, PTM, Services (www.tennislessonsaz.com) for sponsoring this Open.
